Some people say DUST RIVER is more a Garage Rock Band than a Grunge one, due to the musical influences like The Stooges. I don't really care about the kind of music we do, I think it is a kind of Garage music just like Grunge can be. All we want is to give to our music a real existence. For that, we need to share feelings and emotions to make it true, nothing can be done without this condition. We like melodies, sometimes soft and melancholic but we usually play strong and dynamic guitar riffs. The beauty of art is in the imperfection and I like to play with it, this is my vision. That’s one of the reasons why I like to play loud and crunchy.

Naviguant entre le grunge de Nirvana et le metal des formations contemporaines, Chronix propose un rock-metal caractérisé par des guitares profondes et la voix rocailleuses d'Alan Smith, mais aussi par des sons electro toujours présent, parfois doux, parfois criards mais se foutant bien des avis des puristes redemandant du rock vintage ou des nostalgiques des années 80. |

"Grace Valhalla has been producing music on her computer for two years. Recently she put them on jamendo sharing them as creative commons. She says about herself, that she is far from being professional and just wanted to produce something she likes to listen to. And expresses the hope of progression through passion. She faces the same fate as many women producing music: no one believes she produced it. Of the two albums she produced the first Grace Valhalla - psychopathethic is more a rock album while the latter Grace Valhalla - PEAK~ is clearly electronic. Both containing calmed down nearly melancholic music. Wire is a mix between the two first albums" |
